I will be replacing the tires on my Outlook once again very soon. Since it is 8 years old I'm going to replace the original TPMS sensors before the batteries die.
Any recomendations for replacements or should I just stick with GM/AC Delco?
Thanks,

The life expectancy for the sensor batteries is 10 years. I'm concerned that the batteries will die before the next time I need tires and will have to pay for mounting and balancing to have them replaced.

Just had the tire$ replaced on my 2008 and the service folks (Costco) said mine were shot and I had been getting wonky notices on them so I had them replace them when I had the tires mounted. I might have been able to stretch it out a bit and they told me that but I felt it was better to get them done while getting the tires rather than having them fail in a year and having to go through having them changed later.

I believe they were about $45 each so after the $70 rebate for the new tires I figured I was only paying about $110 for the new sensors.

Thanks for the info. I am going to do the same thing. Did they stock the sensors? Just curious if tire shops keep them in stock just like they would regular valve stems.

Ill post my tire change info.
Back in June----got my Versados replaced with new Versados.
These worked out great. they have a 50,000 mile warranty. Im at 60,000 and still had another good 5,000 miles left.

They were down to 5/32. I was not at the wear bars yet.
I had a 4000 mile trip July.. may as well have new tires on.

Also had them put in the TPMS sensors I got on ebay (New Car take off's)

Versados- 4x. ($161.70)..........$646.80
Computer balance 4x. ($10).....$40
------------------------------------
$686.80
CA 9% tax.............................$58.20
-------------------------------------
Out the door price on tires....... $745

TPMS sensors on my Traverse- these were the factory originals with 111,308 miles on them- now 7 yrs old... never an issue with them.
But age wise-- time to replace while the tires are off the rim.

TPMS sensor R/R $5 each....................$20

GM TPMS sensors on ebay.......$53 (for all 4)

$818- total for new tires and TPMS sensors.

The TPMS sensors I bought on ebay.
they are new car takeoffs- according to the seller that sells many of them.
These are GM parts- not aftermarket.
For $53...... sure-- Ill take them.

6100 miles later---- no issues with the replacements.
