Air Inlet Panel to Windshield Gap-Water Intrusion into Engine Compartment. Look at the very base of your windshield on the exterior about in the middle. The air inlet panel is slightly raised at the windshield junction creating the "gap". Your dealer can find the information in Document ID# 1906126

This was a fairly early issue and does not affect many Acadias.

Document ID# 1908427

Correction:

Reprogram the transmission control module (TCM) with the new updated calibration.

An updated TCM calibration is now available to address this concern. This calibration, or any that follow, is designed to address this concern. Reprogram the TCM with the software now available ... using the Service Programming System (SPS).

If you cannot access the calibration, call the Techline Customer Support Center at *number edited*and it will be provided. As always, make sure your Tech 2® Diagnostic Scan Tool is updated with the latest software version.

07073:

document ID 1914921. Addresses three separate issues:

(1) Wiring harness under driver seat. Remove seat,
inspect harness for binding/pinching tie wrap harness
out of harms way. Don't attempt yourself, an airbag
module is nearby. Only applies to vehicles with power/memory
driver's seat.

(2) Open/close rear lift gate 3 times in succession
using the switches on the liftgate. If no problem,
nothing further is required. If problem, replace
switch(s).

(3) Lubricate the I-shaft bearing/boot with GM
Superlube®, or equivalent, to relieve the friction
between the boot and the carrier. This is a simple
procedure to lubricate the intermediate steering shaft
boot/carrier contact points and is done from the
interior of the vehicle.

07074:

Inspect and replace if necessary the console mounted switch housing on certain Outlook/Acadias. The switches in reference are those mounted directly in front of the shift lever (heated seats, tow/haul. traction off, liftgate). The procedure describes manually cycling each switch five times testing for any sign of binding or sticking. If binding or sticking is present, the housing (not the switches) is to be replaced.

Right-Hand (Passenger) Windows Inoperative-Expires with Base Warranty (CANADA ONLY)

This bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect and verify that certain 2007 GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook vehicles do not have a condition that prevents the raising and lowering of the right-hand front and/or rear door window. If the window(s) do not raise or lower, the window regulator(s) are to be replaced.

Inspect the window regulator operation on the right-hand front door and the right-hand rear door.

Perform a functional test by cycling each right-hand side window to the full-down position and then to the full-up position. Repeat the cycle test two additional times.

• If the window returns to the full-up position during all three cycles, the window regulator does not require replacement. No further action is required.

• If the window does not return to the full-up position during any of the three cycles, replace the window regulator assembly with a new replacement part.

Affected VINs:

Just released yesterday, May 8, 2008. It appears the new, optional calibration will hold each gear longer before upshifting. Like the document says though, it will likely have a negative effect on fuel economy.

#08-07-30-022: Hesitation or Flat Spot Between 56-80 km/h (35-50 mph) (Reprogram Transmission Control Module) - (May 8, 2008)

Subject: Hesitation or Flat Spot Between 56-80 km/h (35-50 mph) (Reprogram Transmission Control Module)
Models: 2008 Buick Enclave
2007-2008 GMC Acadia
2007-2008 Saturn OUTLOOK
with FWD or AWD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Condition
Some customers may comment on a flat spot or hesitation between 56-80 km/h (35-50 mph) speed range.

Cause
The existing transmission calibration is programmed to maximize fuel economy and requires a greater throttle input than some customers would prefer to provide acceleration in this speed range.

Correction
A new calibration is available. This new calibration increases the speed required to obtain upshifts and removes TCC apply from 2nd to 3rd gear, thereby reducing engine lugging and improving vehicle response to accelerator input.

Important: This calibration will have a negative impact on fuel economy of 0-1.2 L/100 km (0-2 mpg) combined driving.[/color]

To obtain this calibration, contact Techline (TCSC) at 1-800-828-6860 (English) or 1-800-503-3222 (French). Techline will reconfigure the vehicle to make this calibration the default calibration for this vehicle.

The table below shows the Shift Pattern Change at Light Throttle.
