@bhepper, I have input the VIN that you have posted into the system.  From what I read, there are no open recalls on the vehicle with VIN of 5GZEV23D59J163346 at this time.

Could you send me a copy of the GMVIS showing any warranty and/or recall work done on the vehicle?  All carfax show are oil changes and a checkup.

Do you have a dealership you are or will be using?  They can get this information for you.  I had Reichard pull up and print one for the Outlook.  I still have it in the folder for the Outlook which includes all the other work I had done on it over the 3 years 2 months and 21 days I owned it.  Undecided

Stoney56, I don't have access to the GM reports so can't help there.  If you don't have a Carfax report on either one, just put the VIN number into a Google search.

The Carfax shows up for each one.  The first one had some type of wire repair (maybe headlight harness?).

The second one had seat problems, lumbar assembly replaced, stabilizer links replaced, headlight repair (harness?), and a steering column replaced.

@stoney56, I would love to be able to research the information for the two VINs that you have posted.  Unfortunately, since you are not the owner of these two vehicles I am unable to provide this type of information.

You can contact your local General Motors dealership(s) to see if they will provide you with information about them.  I apologize for this inconvenience.

Thanks everyone, I will ask the dealership if they can run the VIN through the GM database to get all of the service details.  That carfax website has changed since I last used it 4+ years ago.

Why would the steering column need replacement?

You're welcome.  I wish I could have helped you with the information that you were looking for.  When you contact the dealership about the service history you can also ask them about the steering column.

Just got our Saturn Outlook XR on Oct 28 was going to see about a Carfax but then I saw this Page.  And was wondering if it is still possible for someone on this site to run a GM report on the vin.  If so thank you in advance.  Here is # 5GZEV23768J231226 The results can be posted on here or sent to my email.
