Some of the guys on the ACADIA and TRAVERSE forum did this, so I thought I give it a try. It's a little different look, I like it.

Just one question......why?
The same reason that you bought a Silver Moss Enclave, because you wanted to do it ;D.

It's flat black vinyl and it's not perminent, it can come off at any time in about 2 seconds.

 Doesn't even make sense. I just don't see what the big deal of having a red logo or a black logo, it's so small and insignificant.

With all do respect, why do you care? You dont have to look at it or drive it and you dont have to do it to yours. No comment would have been better!

No comment would not relay anything, other than more "dead air" on this forum... :poke: I was expressing an opinion for what you did, nothing more, nothing less...that's why you put photos and threads on here, to get people's reaction...don't shoot down everyone that doesn't oooh and ahhh over that same thing you do. I just have a hard time understanding why putting black on the Saturn logo looks any better than red...unless it's that mourning the loss of Saturn is what you are trying to convey, and if that's it.....then I understand. YES, it looks good, nothing wrong with it at all, but not any better than red...that's all I was trying to convey.

(sounds like you don't like silver green, by your previous comment....which is fine....the color is not for everyone...in fact, they are discontinuing it....if that tells you anything.) When the color first came out, ours was the first one at our dealer, since we ordered it and everyone was going crazy over how cool it is, but guess that's not wide spread.

No harm no foul :). I do like the silver green color. I just happen to like mods and accessories on my vehicles, most serve a function and some do not (the blacked out badge). I'll probably get tired of it after awhile but for now it's something different.

The logo on the tail gate of my Outlook has a patch of red missing in the lower right. Was like that from the day we first set eyes on it at the dealer. Might go all black on this one as well. Quick fix and inexpensive too.

I have'nt done the hatch yet, it might be a little harder to get the vinyl cut just right, probably with a little extra time it would come out nice :thumb:.

I think the emblem flows well with the rest of the colors on the front

So what kind of vinyl did you use and how did you apply it onto the emblem? I like the blacked out emblem. I always wondered how folks here in Texas get there custom emblems on they trucks and suvs.

I have a discoloration on my rear emblem (2009), and was wondering if you painted these or cut vinyl?
It is vinyl that I cut to fit each piece. I took it off because some dirt or sand got behind it, have'nt had the energy to do it over again :p

Hmmm ok I see. Interesting. Did you have to buy some adhesive?
It is self adhesive "flat black vinyl". I bought a pc at a graphix design place. A 6"X1' pc cost me $5.00 It was kind of hard to do but if you can get the red Saturn off without breaking anything that would be waaaaaaay easier!

I'd like to do the same thing to my logo, there's no other red on the truck besides the taillamps and rear reflectors. How did you do it?? Did you blackout the rear logo as well? I began separating the rear door panel to get to the rear emblem but I got nervous. Personally I don't like any logo that has color in it. (Yellow Chevy, Blue Ford, Blue BMW, Red Pontiac) It's small but it clashes with the overall car color. Logos/emblems should be chrome in my opinion. If I had an Acadia or Travers I would do the same thing, it's a much more refined look.

I never thought such a small modification could make such a big difference, but blacking out the red portion of the Saturn logo has mad a significant difference in the appearance of the front fascia. The rear, not so much but the front has a totally different feel without the red portion of the Saturn logo drawing your attention too it. It was my wife's suggestion and I have to admit she made the right call, it just seams right. I'll post better photos later. I wonder if Ford or Chevy will ever get rid of the Blue Oval or the Yellow Bow Tie.

Yea I feel you. Like how Infiniti's logo is chrome. But I don't really have a problem with it. However it would be nice if dealerships or the companies would give us the option of color coding the emblems on our vehicles. I'd pay extra if I could get the emblems all black, all white or even chrome.
