Those did'nt look disturbed on mine but I'll have to get a closer look.

Re: Engine Overheating = Water pump?

We owned a 1994 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight that I wanted to replace the serpentine belt during routine maintenance. In order to remove the belt, the engine mount had to be disconnected and the engine jacked up to get the belt off the front of the engine.

Maybe that's why the service manual list that stepped as needing to be done. I haven't looked on the Traverse yet to see if anything similar has to be done for the serpentine belt.

I believe the removal of the engine strut mount and strut mount bracket are only to allow access to replace the water pump and have nothing to do with the removal of the serpentine belt.
