Won't Start

Wife went out this AM and the Outlook won't start. Just cranks and cranks. No CEL before, but now there is.

Any reports of fuel freezing problems in the Lambdas? It's pretty cold here this AM (high today will by ~20)

Re: Won't Start

None that I've seen. Is it parked on an incline? Some members have had this issue when they have parked on a hill with little gas in the tank. Are you having roadside come and take it to the dealer? Hope you get it figured out.

Re: Won't Start

Yeah, it was parked nose up on the driveway, but the low fuel light wasn't even on I don't believe.

Was towed into the dealer this AM, no word from them yet.

Re: Won't Start

im thinking-- maybe low fuel...
but--- maybe your throttle body also froze? theres been a couple of acadia owners who had their car come to a crawl when their throttle body plates froze....

its possible a throttle body cleaning will do it.
I just made a HOW TO clean the throttle body on the acadia and traverse forum.

very curious to see what they say...
no idea what the codes are?

Re: Won't Start

Started right up for the dealer.

They're thinking it was low fuel combined with the slant of the driveway. Drive way isn't that steep and the low fuel warning hadn't come on yet. Pretty nuts if you ask me.

I guess I better not head up hill without topping off first.

Glad it was nothing serious.

Re: Won't Start

Well, turns out that was premature. Dealer called again and said the tech isn't 100% sure and they wanted to keep it overnight. I've got a loaner, so it's OK by me.

Seems odd that with 1/8 tank showing as it was parked facing up hill that it wouldn't be able to start. If it were down to fumes, sure, my Mazda3 does that, but 1/8 tank is like 3 gallons or so.

Re: Won't Start

peek under your Lambda. the gas tank is big-- lenghtwise. take those 3 gallons and spread it over that area... and 3 gal isnt that deep....

Re: Won't Start

I guess the TSB on the no start / low fuel / incline issue shows a new / revised fuel pump. They're looking at if my car falls in range of VINs for that or not. If so, I get a new fuel pump, if not, I guess I watch my fuel level. I'll know more in the AM.
