I don't know if they did or not but I got under the car last night with a flash light and looked all over the water pump, pully, belt area and it was dry and I know it did'nt come out the overflow because it was not wet the first day I saw the puddle. IDK, it'll probably leak today

Re: Puddle of coolant on the garage floor today!

It's been a week and still no more coolant leaking I probably made myself look like an idiot to the dealer by saying "I think my water pump is leaking". I know it did'nt come from the overflow because I felt all around the tank and no signs of a leak. What is this weep hole I've read somewhere on the forums that our Lambda water pumps have?, could it of come from there and sealed itself up again?

The weephole is on the bottom of the pump; it's a small opening that can start and stop leaking. Regardless of what your dealer found; I would keep an eye on that pump.

Here is the explanation for having a weephole: http://www.acadiaforum.net/forum/ind...0084#msg100084

I tried to find a pic for location but I could find one.

I have read of our waterpumps doing exactly what you said. They leak then seal themselves up for a little while until they leak again. I don't know where I read this so I don't have a reference to post.

Hi-
Just skimming your post. I had a similar thing happen, thought it was coolant that had leaked in my carport-a huge puddle one day then absolutely nothing for the following week. Took it to my mechanic and found out the A/C compressor was bad at 23K miles-fortunately it was still under warranty and GM replaced it. Good luck!

Could you tell what color the fluid was? What I had looked and smelled like DEX-COOL. Is "Freon" pink?

The refrigerant is dyed green (from people who have reported leaks).

I hope it shows it's ugly head again and stays leaking long enough to take it to the dealer so they believe me this time

Well it's 100* out today and it leaked enough for the dealer to determine it's the water pump, a new one is on order . He said they'll do the job the 1st week of August (booked up) and just keep an eye on the coolant level. OK to drive if I do that.
