First big issue at 40k

So the wife calls me from work last Friday am, Outlook not running right, stabilitrak light on and no power, limped it into the school lot. There is a local chevy dealer that can look at it and can pu and drop off the Outlook in the school lot. So I'm thinking its a glitch, same as last time light came on, well not this time, traced back to bad switch in transmission. They order the part and say should be fixed Friday night under warranty, yeah for me. Wife calls me Friday afternoon they are having issues won't be done today, going to have a crew in Saturday to wrap it up. Well Saturday turned into Monday and still not completed, they finally gave her a loaner car, and she was able to get it Tuesday afternoon. From what they said, once they took it apart they found the seals were bad and decided to replace them. Then a valve was stuck inside the tranny so they had to drop it again and fix that. She was so happy to get her wheels back, and so was I.

Re: First big issue at 40k

I'm glad to read your wife has her wheels back. It is also awesome that you have a dealership that decided to take the extra time to get the additional concerns they found taken care of instead of making you bring the vehicle back for multiple visits. Congrats on the return of the vehicle and finding a great dealership.

Yeah Michelle, I am happy with them, just wish they had given her a loaner earlier in the deal, wasted a lot of gas and time being her chauffeur while it was in the shop. But as you said , making sure it was fixed right makes it easier to swallow.
