A/C Replacement question

My 2007, with 130k miles, started blowing warm air a little over a month ago. We had the AC system serviced and cold air came out for a while and then nothing. No cold air. I took it into a "trusted" mechanic and they found that there was a leak in the line from the compressor to the condenser and at the compressor. They want to replace the compressor, condenser, drier and expansion valves. If it's leaking, can't they just fix the leak Quote: $1500

Re: A/C Replacement question

Many shops will suggest replacing those parts once you open up the system for repair. With that amount of miles it may be wise, especially if you plan on keeping the vehicle.
In the end, the decision should be yours.
