Re: What I paid, for your comparison purposes.

It was used. 7000 miles, apparently by the dealer's wife. They had it on the lot for 2 weeks. The dealership, Saturn of the Avenues, here in Jacksonville was great. The manager tried to tell me initially that they don't haggle. But since it was used, I knew I had some room to manuever. We went back and forth for about a week.
It has more features than we were looking for, but it was on the lot so I knew there'd be a chance to talk them down.
The way I figure it, it's a $42,000 car, new +++.
So, $35400 out the door with the warranty intact isn't too bad.

Hmmm, well plugging in your options (as close as I could come) on Edmunds shows an MSRP of around $37,859, minus the standard $1000 rebate on Outlooks right nows brings the standard price to $36,859. Still, getting it for under $33k isn't too bad at all!

Re: What I paid, for your comparison purposes.

You're right...my figures should've been closer to $39600 out the door as configured. So, in the end I got about $4000 off for mileage. Hopefully others can use this info to haggle a bit. But the dealers I talked to aren't budging on the new ones much at all.
