I have not heard anyone mention these...
they are a new luxury performance tire designed for CUVs- and their most fuel efficient tire yet...

AND it comes in 255/65R- 18 which is exactly what the 18's are on the Traverse/Acadia/Enclave/Outlook
They are made by Toyo tires. Its the VERSADO CUV - 18" replacement tire- (OE Fitment).

When it comes time to replace my tires- I will most likely go with these.
Recently replaced the Goodyears on my 2007 Impala- with Toyo tires- Extensa's I think.
On the drive home- I kept looking for a large truck next to me- I could hear the low rumble from their exhaust... Not vehicles around me. Turns out the rumble was MY dual exhaust!!!!!!
WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
3 yrs after owning the car--- I finally HEARD the factory Dual exhaust on the car- the tires made less noise- that I could finally heard the exhaust.

Hope this new find helps you out....

@6Sixathome, what kind of tires did you get? What other noises are you hearing?

Seriously, just normal vehicle noise like wind, weatherstrip flex, stuff like that. These are the tires I got http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...toMake=Saturn&autoYear=2009&autoModel=Outlook XR FWD&autoModClar=
Please report back with your findings after putting some miles on the Conti's. I've been disappointed by the OE Conti's I had on my Pursuit (aka Cobalt/G5) and likewise for our Montana SV6. While the Fortera's haven't been the best in the rain, they've been very smooth and I haven't noticed any road noise (yet).

Would like to hear how the Conti's make out.

The Toyo's as mentioned by the OP are looking like a great option too.

Toyo Versado's on my Outlook and Sky... both cars have much less road noise. Will see how they do in the snow this winter on the Outlook, the Sky is not a snow friendly car. The Outlook does seem to tow better behind the RV too. So far we are happy with them.

We got our used Outlook back in Feb '11 with brand new Fortera's so we're good for a while. I'm hoping to get full use before having to replace them.
I only notice the noise when the radio is off and even then it's not bad. We definitely will not be going back to Fortera's either. Way too expensive.

Some have had great luck with them but I think most of us have not such good luck :-\

The amount of tolerable tire noise is *very* subjective, which would explain a lot when it comes to some owners enjoying their Fortera's while other owners not so much.

Just came back from a local dealer and got 2 prices, the Michelin LTX MS2 P265/65/18 are $1024.38, installed with lifetime rotation and balancing and for the Bridgestone Ecopia 422s P255/65/18 it was $874.58. The Bridgestones are harder to get, the Michelins come with a $70 repaid Visa, and the reviews for the Michelins are excellent, so we will have a set of new Michelins in a few weeks. Glad to get rid of the Forteras, bad wear, slip in the rain and very noisy, they do look good though.

I'm off topic here but you were told that you could get an OUTLOOK in a V8 or turbo? and by who? and when?

If we had kept the Outlook I would have put Michelin's on it as well.

I think they wanted a V8 or something with turbo, but obviously couldn't get that in an Outlook. If one could manage to carve out enough space and stuff a V8... I'd feel sorry for the mechanics having to work on it. Barely any room as it is under the hood.

Now a turbo... hmmmm..., that'd be interesting. Eco power boost. Would be nice as an option. But with the DI beating up the oil as it is, the turbo would make it that much tougher on the oil.

Did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews.
Replaced all four at just above 88,000 miles with Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia.
Cheaper, quieter, smoother ride and more eco-friendly. Great handle too.
I was lucky, as these were the only ones available in the entire region and I was able to get among the last batch.
Loving these tires.
