Hello, I have a 2007 Saturn outlook that was throwing and P0008, mis-aligned cams with the crankshaft. I drove the car into my garage and replaced the timing chain using a maintenance manual for the engine (3.6L VVT) online. put everything back together and now the car won't start. All the timing marks lined up correctly and I rolled the motor to make sure I wasn't hitting anything. I am just looking for any suggestions as to why it would go from running to not running.

Please don't take offense and I know this may seem too obvious but are you sure there is nothing you didn't forget to plug back in or reconnect? Any sensors or ignition required components could be the culprit and this is something I have done myself. Just a suggestion.

No offense taken. Yes i had the same thought and I triple checked all the connection and looked for any others that might have come loose when I was moving the wiring harness around. I have since done a compression check on all the cylinders here is what I have found.
cylinder 1 2 3 4 5 6

105 90 70 60 70 60

Seems pretty odd that they would all be way off like that. Any other thoughts I am open to anything.

With those numbers. Something is obviously wrong. You may have miss timed the motor and bent some valves
But you need a minimum of 110-120 psi for a motor to run properly

Sounds like bent valves to me. The valves got bent on mine when the timing chain jumped. I installed rebuilt cylinder heads when I did my chains. One thing I forgot to do was fully tightening the main ground to the engine. It was only finger tight so I started have intermittent electrical problems and starting problems. Took me a little while to find after changing the battery and checking other things. Tightened up the ground wire to the engine and it’s all better.
