I was told by my dealer that if I wanted to order an Outlook to my exact specifications right now. It would be around an August build date and would be a 2008 Model Year.

I just ordered one this week...and it will be a 2008 XE FWD Ocean Mist.

I'm a newbie here, but have been lurking here, acadia, and enclave forums. People are receiving their '08 acadia this past few weeks. Just wondering if production of '08 outlooks were in line with the acadias. I called my dealer and said they might be receiving '08 outlooks within a few weeks (end of July). Anyone know about this?...or is he blowing smoke? Dealers are known to be wrong

FYI - My local GMC dealer has 5 2008 Acadias on the lot and the Saturn dealer has 3 2008 Outlooks.

Does anyone know if this console is standard or an option on the '08 XR? If it's going to be standard this will be more incentive for me to get an '07.

It is still just an option. We ordered our 08 XR AWD without it, so you can go between the captain's chairs to access the third row since we will have child seats in both captain's chairs.

FYI. I just compared the Outlook we're looking at on the GMS price sheets for 2007 and 2008 and the vehicle we want goes up about $350.

FWD Outlook XR. Leather, captains chairs, preferred pkg, convenience pkg, enhanced conv. pkg, adv audio, rear dvd, & xm.

Yeah, and the 2008 we ordered only went up one single dollar with the same options! Looks like it is because XM is standard on the 08's, whereas it was a $199 option on the 07's, so that took care of the other slight increases.
