I bought a used 2008 Saturn Outlook 4D XR about 6 months ago, and I can’t say when exactly it started but I’ve noticed that the A/C is definitely not working properly. It takes up to 20 minutes on a hot day to actually get somewhat cold air, and when it’s turned on it makes a sad, struggling hissing sound. I’ve read around and have no idea what this is or how to fix it, any tips/advice welcome!

You have a leak in your AC system most likely. My 2009 Enclave had this a few times, and each time it was a serious leak. I landed up replacing both evaporators at different times. These AC systems are built cheap so expect continued problems.
