Hi,
According to the build sheet, my 2008 XR has the UQG -AUDIO SYSTEM - 10 SPEAKER PREMIUM SOUND.
Have been reading here and there and am not sure about wattage and subwoofer.
A member on the Acadia forum with a 2008 SLE says he has Bose Premium Theatre 5.1 Surround Sound with Dolby has 10 Bose Speakers and the amplifier generates 230 watts.
Read a review online that says the 2008 has a 300 watt system.
Many years back I had a 1999 Cadillac STS that had a 400 watt system that would blow the doors off.
If I have a 300 watt system, it pales in comparison to the 400 watt system in the Cadillac that I had.
Have a few questions and need some help if you can:
1. How many watts does my amplifier generate?
2. Do I have a subwoofer?
3. Can I replace the amplifier with another GM amplifier that will give me more wattage?
Full volume is OK, but it still leaves a lot to be desired.
As I said earlier, I would really like to stick with a GM amplifier.
Basically looking for a plug 'n play replacement with more wattage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
George
