While looking for a squeak in the back of my 2008 XE (tire jack was loose), I found two unused wire pigtails/connectors/thingamabobs. I've tried looking through the mechanics manual to identify them, and the best I can find is they might be used for the power lift gate. One of the connectors is black, and the other is gray. Wondering if any of you know what these are for.

Thanks,
Nate

My jeep has the same wiring in the rear quarter panel and it was for the plug and play harness you can buy to hook up a trailer light kit.
Nope.
The trailer wiring is on the outside- between the vehicle body and bumper.

These are most likely for the Onstar/XM modules.
DO you have these on your vehicle?

my 2010 Traverse.

I don't have the XM radio option. I have the Onstar on the rear view mirror, but not on the steering wheel.
