Have you seen it? Well, here it is:

Actually, that's the 2013 Acadia, but boy, doesn't that rear glass and those wheel arches look familiar? Autoblog and Car and Driver thought so too.

So, I wonder if those taillights are plug and play into our Outlooks? ;D

;D Oh yea I saw it and just about fell out of my chair.

Kind of ticking some people off with the thought that they could have reused some of the tools/molds from the Saturn Outlook.

See...all along I KNEW that Saturn was a great car and the Outlook I LOVED how it looked. Especially the wrap around appearance of the rear windows.

Now if the 07 Outlook had not been so darn, leaky, and insisted it wanted to be a swimming pool on 4 wheels AND I had not purchased the Enclave last February....who knows.

Yep it has risen out of the ashes.....again.

That must be the Denali version, if it was a non- Denali version it would probably have the dark grey lower body cladding and the would make the side profile dead nuts for the OUTLOOK. I think they used the same body, just changed the front end. They are going to sell good I think.

Yea that is the Denali version and the straight Acadia is from the side a dead ringer to the Outlook.

Just think I could have waited and bought a real imitation of the Outlook, with out a sunroof of course. ;D

Yeah, that's the Denali, the others are the same parts but without paint below that lower character line.

The rear body is identical, I believe, but the rear bumper is different. The Outlook is better integrated, in my opinion. The front fenders have a different cutout for the headlights and the tops are different to match the butch nose, but the wheel openings are the same.

Can't blame GM for recycling old parts, but it did make me chuckle.

GM admits that most of the rear are Outlook parts! Of course we already knew that.

That means those tail lights will fit our Outlooks! :thumb:

5 Years old and I'm still happy with my Outlooks styling, especially since GMC reinforced the styling cues in the 2013 Acadia. I was confident that the wrap around glass would end up on the new Acadia. Look for it on the new Traverse and Enclave also. The LED's were a no brainer. I don't even think they based this on the existing Acadia, I think they simply used the former Outlook and designed it from there. Really strange that the non Denali versions would hide the Exhaust tips, thats one of the defining styling characteristics of the rear of most vehicles.
