A bit of discussion over on the Acadia board regarding the 2017 Acadia unvieling: http://www.acadiaforum.net/index.php?topic=34698.0

It seems that to meet more stringent fuel economy requirements GM is shrinking the Acadia significantly and also giving the base model *a four cylinder engine*!

Seems like a bad move to me - they already have the Equinox and the Terrain in this space - basically the Acadia becomes a Terrain with a 3rd row and insufficient cargo space.

Thoughts? Does this matter to you (assuming you might purchase another Lambda platform vehicle in the first place)?

There is also the option for the 6 cylinder. Also from what I can tell of interior photos, it is significantly shorter. Still has the 3 rows of seats but not nearly the room behind the 3rd row.

You are correct, more on the size with the Terrain.

My 2011 Enclave will last many more years. I have barely 33,500 miles on it now.
