This has been asked once before, but got no responses, so I'm asking again.

My 2010 XR does not have the memory seats and I'd like to add them if it's possible. I'm 6'1" and my wife is 4'10" so it'd be a great option to have.

Does anyone know if this is theoretically possible and if so, what parts would I need to get?

Re: Adding Memoy Seats

Really, just the switch? There are not additional sensors in the seat or anything? Where are the switches located, on the door or the seat? I assume I'll need a new panel there to accommodate the switches.

If it's that easy, that'd be sweet, assuming I could find a dealer to do the reflash.

Re: Adding Memoy Seats

I have a 2009 Outlook brochure (last one the dealer had!), I'll see if there's a pic of the switches.

I was thinking that there would need to be sensors in the seats not for who was sitting there, but for determining the seat position. The car has to be able to determine where the seat (and mirrors) are in order to return to that position.

So, it sounds promising, may only need the switches and a flash of the BCM (what does that stand for, body control module?) to add the functionality. Still need to verify that there is nothing different in the seats or mirrors (a P/N search might verify that) and that there is wiring in the door to plug the switches into.

Of course, this might muck with my warranty if I do it, so I may need to wait a couple of years.

Re: Adding Memoy Seats

Probably not. How does that work anyway? Is it like a reboot and then the PCM goes "Hey, look, the memory seats are plugged in, let me turn that on." or does the dealer actually get in there and flip a software switch to turn them on?

In other words, what is a reflash?
