It's possible; I think you just need the switch for the 2 memory positions and a reflash of the BCM. I'm not sure your dealer will accomplish the reflash though; I heard somewhere dealers were discouraged from doing this because if they jack up the reflash then they have to buy another BCM

The switch on the Acadia is mounted to the driver's door; not sure about the Outlook but I would assume it's the same. There isn't a lot of discussion about this. I pulled the best thread I could find off the Acadia forum

BCM is the body control module

FWIW; I don't think a dealer will touch a BCM reprogram just to add memory seats (if needed), but then again I have been known to be wrong ;D

Dealer's have a special machine (yeah can't remember the name of it), but basically they plug the module into the machine and then the machine teaches the module everything just like it was brand new. They can set the machine to tell the BCM that your vehicle has memory seats so when the BCM is plugged back in; it will look for this option.

Thinking out loud ~do they input the VIN into the Tech 2 machine? If they do; the VIN will determine what data needs to be loaded to the BCM and since the vehicle didn't come with memory seats from the factory................ :-X
