I started a similar poll at the sister site, AcadiaForum.net.
Checking to see if Saturn Outlook owners here are interested in a set of non slip foam pads for the center console, dash, doors, third row, and hidden cargo storage area. Material is a 1/8” thick neoprene sponge foam with a textured surface on both sides. It’s the same material used on the bottom of mouse pads. Pads are precision cut with steel-ruled dies. They look like they are OEM. They prevent items from rattling and slipping and sliding around. And they are perfect for hiding scratches. Here is a list of pads I am planning to make:

1 Pad for the Instrument Cluster
1 Pad for the Top Dash Compartment
2 Pads for the Dash Compartments by Above the Shifter
1 Pad for the Glove Box
2 Pads for the Center Console Cupholder
2 Pads for the Center Console Top Trays Under the Sliding Lid
1 Pad for the Center Console Lower Bin Under the Sliding Lid
1 Pad for the Tray Under the Center Console Armrest
2 Pads for the Center Console Rear Cupholders
2 Pads for the Center Console Side Bins
4 Pads for the Front Door Lower Bin/Cupholder , Left and Right
2 Pads for the Rear Door Armrest Cupholders, Left and Right
4 Pads for the Rear Door Lower Bin/Cupholder, Left and Right
1 Pad for the Rear Seat Console Armrest Tray (for models with bench seats in 2nd row)
2 Pads for the Rear Seat Console Armrest Cupholders (for models with bench seats in 2nd row)
4 Pads for the Third Row Bin and Cupholder, Left and Right
5 Pad Set for the Hidden Cargo Storage Bin

Made some prototype pads. Here's what they look like in the Outlook.

Yes, I would be interested in the cupholders, trays and any other plastic storage areas such as the glove box.

How will we know how much positive response you need to let us know if you plan on making these? I have a feeling a lot of people here are wanting to have an idea on pricing. Maybe you should post what the price would be if you do make them.

Pads are now available. Offering three sets of pads...

$15 + $3 S/H for a generic 10 piece center console set that will fit the Outlook, Acadia, and Enclave
$35 + $6 S/H for a 28 or 31 piece dash, console, doors, and 3rd row set for the Outlook
$3 + $2 S/H for a pad in front of the instrument cluster (sold separate because not everyone will see a need for this pad)
$25 + $6 S/H for a 5 piece hidden cargo bin set that will fit the Outlook, Acadia, and Enclave.
Free shipping to members buying direct. On the 28/31 piece pad set, I need to know whether you have the bench seats or captain's chairs in the second row. Please contact me at [email protected] for payment details. Paypal preferred, but personal checks or money orders is accepted.

Thanks!

padsplus,

Is the rear hidden compartment set included in the 28/31 pieces set or is that completely seperate? In other words, do I need to order both the 28/31 piece set and the rear hidden compartmen set to fully cover my Outlook??

A full set of pads for the Saturn Outlook would be the following:

$3 for the instrument cluster pad
$35 for the 28/31 pc pad set for the dash, console, doors, and 3rd row
$25 for the 5 pc hidden cargo storage bins

I received my set of pads and am very happy with them. They are each labeled with their correct location (no guessing on where each piece goes) and comes with a set of double sided tape squares so that you can stick them in place if you so choose. Great fit, looks OEM. I'd definitely recommend them.

Non-Slip Pads Review and Install Notes

I ordered the complete set of pads for $63 from Wilson who was quite personable. As promised, I was not charged shipping being a forum member. I checked Ebay and he was selling the same set of pads for the same price, just added shipping.

I payed with paypal and the transaction went smoothly. He wrote me to acknowledge my order and notified me of the shipping date which was the next business day. Customer service was important to Pads plus.

The package arrived Priority mail within 2 days and was professionally packed. I received three sealed packets. The pads were packed well and individually labeled for each piece. There were a lot of pieces and without the labels it would be impossible to figure out. He also provided some double sided tape squares for harder to place pieces. The tape was difficult to remove the second side, after a while it became easier. I would have preferred a bit thicker square, but they were adequate and got the job done. Overall an "A" for packaging and appearence.

Each piece was cut exactly to the size it should be. There were no rough edges or unfinished sides. Each piece went in exactly where it should have. I think the most useful areas are the center console insert tray with the two compartments and the bottom of the main center console. I thought the drink holders were very useful except 2 of them have a protruding circle inside the holder and the foam pad rested on the center disk not really laying flat, they did hold firm though. I also did not see a use for the top dashboard tray, since it was already carpeted.

The hidden rear compartment was the real gem of the lot. I keep an umbrella, a flashlight and a California duster in mine and they were always rattling around and now don't. The glove box seemed to add a bit of cushion needed to keep stuff from rattling around and one wonders why Saturn did not provide this as OEM. The two small areas in front of the shifter handle needed this product as they can now be used for storage without rattles and sliding around. All the other pieces that fit around the cup holders in the doors, the second seat console (for bench) and third row cup holders worked well.

The entire install took about 1.5 hours. The main time issue was the double backed tape which was difficult to apply. Overall I like them and would recommend them. :thumb:

I just picked up my mail from the Thanksgiving Holiday and my Outlook pads were part of the bundle. Unfortunately, my Outlook is at the body shop due to an Audi A4 that sideswiped the right rear bumper cover.

The pads came packed and the individual pieces labeled. Easy to understand instructions and extra attachment items if needed. The pieces look as if they were laser cut. They were just what I was looking for.

Thumbs up from me.

I've had my foam pads for a month and a half and they feel as if they were ordered with my Outlook. Great fit and look good.
The center console cup holder foam pads solved the noisey soft drink can issue I had. The raised hard plastic in the cup holder would bang against the bottom of the can and would rattle over every bump. Problem solved.

I've spilled some coffee on mine and I just take them inside and rinse them off with hot water. They come with quite a few extra pieces of double sided sticky tape, so you just replace that. Otherwise, it's like cleaning a neoprene mouse pad. they precision cut and very professional looking. Perfect fit. Each piece is individually labeled, good product.
