That's interesting. I see no reason why AWD won't work on R. An easy way to find out is to go to Saturn dealer, raise the car, put it in D, and see if all 4 spin.
AWD functioning properly?
Today I had my outlook awd parked on the side of the road, on some wet grass, in a small ditch, and when I put the car in reverse and tried to backup, the front tires spun and the car would not moved backward. I was able to pull forward instead. I thought with awd the rear tires should have pulled me out. Maybe awd does not work for the reverse gear? That makes no sense. I am not certain if my awd is working correctly. No dash warning signs or any other indication of problems. Any thoughts?
