The battery is getting weak in my 08' and I am looking for suggestions on what brand or type to replace with. Due to the location of the battery, I am not certain if a special type of battery is required.
Thanks,
Tim

I stick with AC Delco brand batteries in my GM vehicles. It is purely your choice. That way you know you will be getting the one which is recommended and fits. Not saying there aren't others which will do the job. Just research and make sure it is specific to your vehicle.

Agree with Sailfish....why screw around with trying to find a suitable replacement. In my experience, the batteries tend to be one of the few OEM parts that are reasonably priced.

Thanks for the advice. :thumb:
I called the dealer yesterday and I was surprised to find the Delco battery is $129.00, right in line with prices for parts store battery prices.

You are welcome, that is what members are here for, to advise if asked.

That is about what I paid for the battery installed in my former 07 Outlook, plus tack on labor, as I had the dealership do the install.

I had to replace the battery in my 08 XE and went with the H6 Maxx from Walmart and self installed. Price with tax was $99/ 6%. No problems even in the cold temps here in the Poconos! ;D

Not a bad choice. Made by Johnson Contra (same people who make Interstate). Should have taken a trip a few hours south to pick one up at the Deka plant in Topton. That's where I will get mine, but I'm only 20 minutes away.
