Last evening I received a phonecall from a Saturn engineer asking if I had any issues with our new Outlook. We went through the interior and exterior and compiled a list of things that bothered/annoyed me and things that could be a problem. It was refreshing to be able to discuss the Outlook with an actual engineer and not just with the Service Dept. He also asked if it was ok if other engineers called as a followup and to discuss anything else.
Overall the conversation was relaxed and appeared to be a valuable use of time.

Anyone else receive this type of call?

Did they give you anymore info as to who they were? They asked about the vehicle in general or a specific item? Did they say why they called you? Just curious. Thanks.

I also had a call a week ago from an engineer about my new XR. He covered topics such as steering, a/c, seats, fit and finish, brakes drive ability, transmission, engine, second row seats. After covering this we talked about any problems experienced. I told him of the transmission hunting on kickdown when trying to pass which has gotten better as I put the miles on. He also asked what was needed in the future and I told him about the blind area because of the bottom height of the rear window. Since I was involved in installing an after market camera system he asked if that was really necessary. I told him that after I had finished it was night and day about confidence I was going to be able to see while backing up. I have 2 grandchildren and do not want to bring any harm to them in any case. I also told him they should move the sonic indicator lights to the rearview mirror like they have the compass in it but put it on left side for balance. You have to drop your head to see the indicator in the mirror reflection and that also increases the blind spot as well.
