I have a weird thing happening. When I start my 2007 Outlook XR with 45000 miles, it spudders a bit for about 20-30 seconds then idles normally. This begain a couple days ago. My check engine light came on with the second occurance. Driving is not affected in any way. If I drive for a 5 minutes and turn off the car, the problem does not occur again. Left alone for eight or more hours, the problems repeats itself (I haven't checked it between 5 minutes and 8 hours).
Is there anyone with a possible opinion for a cause? I'm dropping it at the dealership tonight for them to check in the morning. So far, friends have offered the possibility of a bad pulley or fuel filter. The fuel filter just seems unlikely as driving and acceleration have not been affected, even when doing hard accelerations.
