Welcome to the family!

Update your signature with your vehicle layout so we know what you have.

Must be an 08XR with those wheels.

I know you don't want to hear this but... you need to check your vin # and or build date against the current recall on the sunroof. Early models have a flaw in the drains but it can be fixed! Enjoy the ride!

To each his own. In my experience, these things will just eat up your car's finish sooner or later. Road grime and grit will eventually get under the material and act like sandpaper on the car.
The front end of the Outlook is very nice, it's too bad it's covered up

I've owed bra's on every car we have ever owed. The Love bugs we get get here in florida in the spring & fall will destroy the paint on the front of any car. With proper care & installation you will never have the problems your referring to.Thanks anyways for your opinion Debbie Downer(rexster) :'(

Given you live in FL bug and swamp territory, the front mask is a good idea, did you look into the clear stick-on bra? In your signature what do you mean about luxury pkg, did you mean conv pkg?

I live in south central Texas and have the same problems with the love bugs each spring and fall as you mention; Florida doesn't hold a patent on them. As I said to each his own. I got tired of them finally and put the 3M clear bra stuff on the front of my Enclave. I didn't resort to any name calling, why did you? I didn't say you were a dumb*** for doing so. In fact I said the front of the Outlooks look nice.
You put your car online and described what you did to it. When you do that you are asking for people's opinions whether you like them or not.

I'm happy that you like your clear mask, but I think your opinion is incorrect or you lack the knowledge to correctly use a front mask. As far as calling someone a dumb***, I started this thread to show my new ride and promised a pic once I had time to correctly install the bra. A simple that looks great or glad you like it would have been more appropriate.

Yea 6sixathome I look at the clear bra, but I only need a part-time solution for the bugs here. I've read some forums that talk about staining & yellowing & scrathing & peeling of the clear bra, but I don't know of that to be fact.

My XR came with the Florida, Texas, California "Luxury package" which for $3470.00 includes:
*Power Sunroof with 2nd row skylight
*Touring Package:
-19" Polished Alum Wheels
-All season Tires
-Dual Exhaust W/Chrome Tips
*Premium Trim Package:
-Leather-Appointed 1st & 2nd row seats
-Heated Front Seats
*Available to residents of FL, TX, CA and adjacent areas

First to gatorman - How can someones opinion be incorrect - it's their opinion, and he's right, if you post it, it will be commented on - good or bad.

2nd to rexter - stop incouraging this kind of posting. This is why I stopped posting on the Enclave site - all the stupid comments and annoying insults that go on. A few over there don't like us Outlook owners, and it looks like some of those few are leaving, but let's keep it civil.

Agreed. ^^^^^^

gatorman your Outlook looks good, but I am also in the opinion that the bra takes away from the good looking front end. I do however understand your reason for the bra and that works. It's my favorite and fastest color...white LOL. :thumb:

:sosad:

:hijacked: Sorry to hear but yep I understand what you mean about that. Some of the ones who made annoying insults seem to have disappeared over there and ROFLOL they are probably the ones who placed ignores on me. I try and ignore those who make unnecessary insults although there are those times. ;)

So now BACK ON TOPIC as for the bra on the front of the Outlook. If I could convince my husband to permit me to install one on my Enclave I would go with the clear one as well. I have a friend who does this installation on many of the "high-end" dealerships in the area and he has said that the problem with the yellowing isn't as prevalent as it once was. LOL I may just save up my dollars and have it installed anyway and see how long it takes him to notice. ;D
