I was wondering if anyone has toyed with the idea of adding a CAI to their Outlook, or at least maybe changing to a K&N filter.

If there were any available I would consider it, depending on design and cost. A filter alone won't do you much good, even a whole CAI sometimes only adds 5 HP.

I bought my Outlook XE Model '07 in July and I noticed just recently that everytime I start the engine, the A/C in the front area doesn't automatically turned-on. What is automatically turned on is the Auxiliary power only. So everytime I drive my Outlook, I had to manually push A/C power button on.
Thinking that this is an A/C problem, I brought this attention to my Saturn service consultant and we tested other brand new Outlooks in their lot and we noticed the same issue. He cannot provide me a convincing explanation why the A/C in Outlooks works differently with other (Japanese) brands.
Can you please give me some insight about this A/C question?

Thanks.

You should probably start a new thread with that question. A cold air intake has nothing to do with air conditioning, it is modifying the way the engine breathes.

If the air conditioner is on when i turn my Outlook off it is on when i start it the next time.
so i can't offer any help on your issue. I don't understand why yours will not do the same.

If anyone hears of any manufacturer making a cold air intake and/or performance filter for the Outlook I would love to know. I have checked online for numerous performance companies and no one has anything yet. K&N does have an oil filter but that is it.

You can make your own out of PVC and a universal K&N filter. Below are picks I made for my Supercharged Grand Prix. Its a big time change in acceleration and you really hear the supercharger noise more now.
