I'm considering trading my Xterra for either a CTS with the DI engine or an Outlook. I love the way the CTS looks and it drives like a dream. I love the space of the Outlook and it also rides very well. I feel like I'm going into a mid-life crisis and I'm only 40!! What are your opinions? Or am I asking a biased group? LOL!!!

If you are single get the CTS, if you have a family get the OUTLOOK. I have a wife and 4 kids and the OUTLOOK has plenty of space.

I think we are all biases around here - so go for the Outlook!

I normally see comparisons with SUVs / CUVs - so your request is certainly unique!  CTS vs. Outlook - I have to say that is a first.  I've ridden in both and have to say you have made two fine selections - so I'm sure you will be happy which ever way you go.

What is more important to you?  The Outlooks room?  CTS style?  It may come down if you really want to be driving a CUV or a car for the next 3 years.  I was in the SUV / CUV market specifically, so that made my choice a little easier.

On behalf of the Outlook - I have White Diamond - Loaded with Tan Leather - we've taken it to the mall shopping for Christmas and parked in an upity mall in Dallas - next to BMWs SUVs, Lexus SUVs, Land Rovers, Hummers and all the rest - and I never thought two years ago that a Saturn product would stand out in such a line-up of luxury brands.  But we've seen more people take double looks and walk around to look at the brand - it has been quite a fun time.  When we are at the stop light, we see people looking at it.   And our friends that see it say, this looks like a Lexus when they get inside.

Needless to say, we have been very happy with our choice.  Good luck with whatever you decide - I'm sure you will do your homework as you are already researching.

At this point because I love the space in my current vehicle, I'm going with the Outlook. The CTS SHOULD have a back-up camera, power folding mirrors with the integrated turn signals available for that price. I can get a well loaded Outlook for a lower price than a CTS and have more horsepower than the base CTS. It happens every time, the practical, value minded side comes out and ruins my fun. Matter of fact a co-worker said I would be missing what he calls the most important thing by getting the Outlook: THE PIMP FACTOR!!!!!! LOL!!!! ;D

drakutis, keep in mind you are comparing a Saturn and a Cadillac when you are quoting prices, so it's hard to justify what options you'd get with one vs the other. Like others have said, it really comes down to what you need. If you need a 7 or 8 passenger vehicle with plenty of power, good gas mileage and wouldn't be caught dead in a minivan, there's nothing better at any price. If you don't ned that kind of space, the CTS is one **** of a nice sedan.
