I am not sure re your Q but as a somewhat related comment, Onstar's monthly report includes a statement showing a reset on the OLM. HOWEVER on at least one occasion it failed to pick it up ie I reset and it didnt "see it" ???.
Does the ECU record each time the oil life monitor is reset?
Can I pull this information with an OBD scan tool for a complete history of oil changes/resets?

I'm going to assume that only applies if I have been an Onstar subscriber full time (which I have not). I think it is recorded; IIRC the dealer can pull this info down with their Tech 2 machine. I'm not 100% sure on this though
