We're looking at an 09 with the overhead DVD but am interested in getting the dual dvd in the headrests.

I read that Audiovox has a unit, but wanted to know if anyone has personally installed these.
If so, was it straighforward?

Or did you just decide to pay for labor? If so, how much did it end up being, if you don't mind my asking.

Thanks.

I have the headrest DVD's in my 09', the dealer had them installed. Mine are ADVENT by Audiovox, they are touchscreen and have 32 games, they can play different movies or games from each other or the same thing, I like them really well. They have the 3yr/36,000 warrenty on them. $1,995.00 option, here is some pic's.

I bought the GM Accessory Dual DVD head rest system. I installed them myself and it took about 3 hours for me to do it. I bought them through crateenginedepot.com. Tom is great there.
I looked at the website, do not see them listed. How much do the cost from Tom?

Thanks!

All, I ended up purchasing the Headrest Video DVD. I got the Advent by Audiovox. So far, so good, my 3 sons love them and it's actually nice to have the headphones so they can watch their movies or play games, while the adults listen to the radio. When I get time, I will post the pictures. Some food for thought, I ended up purchasing the $167 installer network card, it worked out great as Car Spa in Arlington did the install. IF, I had gone thru my dealership, they would have charged be $300-400 for install, and they use the same company so DO NOT go thru your dealer, if you do not have too, you will save yourself money. Also, you will need to have a new relay switch put in for the power source. This cost me $25 dollars but is well worth it. The DVDs only come on when the car keys are on or vehicle is running.
