Hi,
First time posting on here...Back in July 2012, our '08 Outlook's DVD Entertainment system was replaced by the dealership under our extended warranty. They replaced it with a refurbished model (which still had addresses in the navigation address book from the previous "owner" of it- but that's a different story). Now 15 months later, the refurbished one is now shot. I've had it documented several times with the dealership along with taking many videos of the issue when it happens but because we are out of our extended warranty and parts warranty, they said we are out of luck. I really believe something like that should have lasted more than 15 months.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? Is there a GM representative that might be able to help? The dealer said a new one is over $1,800.

Thanks!!!

Hello kmatranga,

Welcome to the forum! I apologize greatly for the issues you've experienced with your Outlook's DVD Entertainment system and I certainly understand any displeasure caused by it. You are more than welcome to contact us privately for additional assistance with investigating these matters. While we're unable to guarantee anything, I'd be more than willing to exhaust my options in an effort to assist.

Kindly,

On page 231 you will also read the following in regards to the TPMS:
DIC. The tire pressure will be shown in either pounds per square inch (psi) or kilopascals (kPa).
Press the vehicle information button until the DIC displays FRONT TIRES PSI (kPa) LEFT ## RIGHT ##. Press the vehicle information button again until the DIC displays REAR TIRES PSI (kPa) LEFT ## RIGHT ##. If a low or high tire pressure condition is detected by the system while driving, a message advising you to check the pressure in a specific tire will appear in the display. See Inflation - Tire Pressure on page 432 and DIC Warnings and Messages on page 239 for more information. If the tire pressure display shows dashes instead of a value, there may be a problem with your vehicle. If this consistently occurs, see your dealer/retailer for service.
