i recently purchased a 2008 Outlook with integrated GM navigation and rear DVD system. This came without any headphones or remote control, so I kept these items from out Malibu. The headphones work great but I cannot get the remote control to operate. Any ideas? Do I need to purchase a new remote from GM?

Hello Dehlir,

Congrats on your new vehicle. Glad to see that the headphones were compatible with your new system. I'd suggest calling the dealership. They'd be willing to assist you in locating the best options for replacing the remote control. Hopefully, it's a simple enough object for you to get.

If you want to try something which may be less expensive than the dealer, try checking with Best Buy, Frys, or any other big brand electronics store. Many of them do rear seat entertainment installation, and they might know what works or doesn't work on the GM factory cars. Local automotive audio & electronic stores would be another good place to check.
