After reading great reviews and studying the saturn website, the wife and I just ordered a 2008 Outlook XE FWD. The color is Ocean Mist and I am getting the sunroof with the advanced audio package, premium package, and convenience package. Anyone have any advice or warnings for me?

Congrats to both of you. I've had my Outlook since the last week in March and have just under 3,000 miles on the odometer. I have not a single complaint. I think you'll be pleastantly surprised. The vehicle has a very smooth and quiet ride. And, it handles just like a car (I traded in a 2003 Honda Accord). The only recommendation I would make is to get the all-season floor mats and tri-fold rear cargo mat. I just layed them over the factory floor mats. I have the tan interior and the black mats compliment the interior colors well, especially with the upper portions of the dash and door panels being black. I hope you enjoy your Outlook's as much as I do mine. Good luck!

We've had ours since late April and have 5286 happy miles.

I would purchase Road Hazard Insurance for your tires right away as we experienced a flat tire at 47 miles on the first day of ownership.

Well as you can see I ordered the Outlook on July 10th, and just received it today (Sept 21st). I picked it up this afternoon and I am very impressed with it. I havent had the chance to really drive it yet so I will let everyone know how it is later.

Just picked our new 08 Outlook yesterday. White Diamond exterior, Tan Leather, Conv and Enhanced Con packages, Advanced Audio, Prem Trim, and Trailering Package.

Here are the progress dates.
Ordered 7/27 (a Saturday)
Order accepted 8/3
Changed color, both exterior and exterior 8/10 (a Saturday) Was told it would delay delivery by 1 to 2 weeks.
Built and invoiced on 8/31
Arrived at South Jersey dealer 9/11
Ready to pick up 9/13
Picked up 9/22 ( We decided to delay picking it up until after a week of vacation at the shore so we could relax on vacation, then concentrate on the joys of a new vehicle)

That is less than 5 weeks from the day I changed my order to it arriving at the dealer. I had heard they run the WD Tricoat in groups so maybe they hurried mine up so to get in the that run of WDT?
The interesting thing was that the dealer did not cancel my original order so that Outlook came in the same time as my Outlook.

It's always been possible to order practically any car from any manufacturer that you want with the exact options that you want.
