What size floor jack are you guys using? Hopefully in the right spot.

I need to do brakes and stabilizer end links. I have a 2-ton.. and i've tried to use it before to life the Outlook, but i dont know that it could get it done (height, more than anything). So im wondering if I need a heavier duty one, or if i should put on a 2x4 or 2x6 or similar?

Thoughts?

I have a 2.5 ton floorjack....would prefer a 3 ton one, but it works.

All you have to do is jack it up enough to get the tires off and put it on some jack stands to hold it.

I should have said this above. You could also get a cheaper bottle jack. For my Excursion, the 2.5 ton floor jack doesn't have the height and/or power to lift it. I put a 2x4 or 2 flat under the bottle jack base to give me enough height. I guess you could also do the same with your floor jack under the frame to give a few extra inches.

I used the area where the rear of the engine cradle bolts to the subframe in the front - it's low enough that I had plenty of jack height to lift front wheels off the ground.

For the rear wheels, there's a similar area where the rear subframe bolts to the uni-body.

Here's some pictures:
