I am about to go on a road trip from East Texas area over to Northern California with the kiddos.. I was wondering if I should go ahead and have the coolant system flushed with the proper BG fluids? There isn't any issues as of now for my Saturn.. it does have 58K miles on there though, but runs like a champ!

Thanks again in advance for any of your feedback, and don't worry about calling me a moron or idiot..

No, I would'nt, you can go atleast 100K easy on factory DexCool. What year is your Saturn?, I assume it's an OUTLOOK? Maybe take a moment and fill out your signature and welcome.

It won't cause any damage to change the coolant out early.

GM said 5 years or 100K (or 150K?) if not contaminated. Since the vehicle was used, take a peak at the coolant to make sure it is a nice pink or orange color. Anything else should be flushed. Remember to add only DexCool if needed to maintain the factory interval.

Agreed, the last thing you want to see is green coolant in OUTLOOK's tank
