My outlook's transmission has been acting up lately, more like the last 4-5 months, it first started off with it shifting really hard in addition to it not wanting to shift up. Now it doesn't want to shift down in addition to the engine actually sounding different (one day happy and ready to roll the next really suppressed and hesitant) also, when I shift from reverse to drive the car JUMPS and when I say jumps I mean jumps I think I actually pulled something in my neck the last time it happened. I would normally have no issue taking it into the dealership but they haven't been the best in the service or hospitality department. I had the code read at AutoZone and 2 codes were given one was for the Transmission Control and the other was for shift solenoids. My husband operates on the "If it an't broke don't fix it" policy and I really rather not wait for something to break and leave me on the side of the road, what should I do?
Oh, a few months ago we purchased an aftermarket warranty from our bank, It covers all mechanical parts (exception of the Transmission control module) that are damaged by a lubricated part. Deductible: $100, no cap. -Thought that might be important.
