Has anyone ever heard or have had a problem with an unstable ride? My 07 Outlook moves side to side and rear left side to front right side and back ...a kind of rocking unstable motion while driving down the highway. Had the rear shocks and front struts replaced and it still does it.

Check the sway bar end links. They tend to wear and break.

Thanks ..I checked the sway bar end links and they are solid...no breaks and are good. the mechanic said it might be tires . (Firestone Destination P255/60R 19 108H) ...I only notice it rocking and kind of shifting side to side on the highway at speeds about of 60-65 mph. Thanks for your input....appreciate it.

Mine has just started doing this as well. It was fun doing a 360 going 60mph down the road when it broke loose from the rear but luckily didn't go into the ditch or smash into someone. Not sure what's going on but I certainly feel it "tracking" the pavement. I think it's more to do with the alignment. It's been a white knuckle drive when it's wet outside. I have Michelins on the car now so I don't think it's a tire issue either although all 4 tires are showing inside tire wear.

YEAH another trip to the dealership!!!!

You'd think this should all be free. I mean we gave them our taxpaying money right????

Problem solved...rear control arm bushings. It was the upper rear control arm and the left rear forward lateral link arm. all the bushings were extremely soft. Had them replaced and it drives like new. It was very hard to tell which ones were bad. Several mechanics had to watch as one mechanic moved the tire while it was on the lift. They found out which ones they were and its much more stable ...actually just like new.
