My 2010 XR did not come with a hitch cover like the Traverses have. The dealer had several 2010's with the tow package, and none of them had one.

However,it looks like there are attachment features for one. Those with the tow package, do you have a hitch cover?

GM doesn't ship vehicles with a hitch cover, but apparently you can order one. My 07 has the tow package but did not have a hitch cover although I bought it used

maybe you could take a covert op into the dealer's lot and "acquire" one :-X

AA is partially correct...
The Traverses do come with covers on vehicles with tow package...

The Acadias DO NOT.
But somewhere in late 2010- the covers were added to tow packaged vehicles I believe.

Im thinking the Outlooks were also like the Acadias- no cover on early production 2010's... (and since there was no later 2010's- no vehicles made with cover).
seems youll have to order the cover-- and the special little turn screws.

this is for a 2009--
I dont see the cover... You may have to do a little more investigative work..
Like going to dealer (chevy/GMC/Buick) and saying--- hey can I test fit a cover- and if it fits- Ill order one from you...
item 11- is listed as W/O dual exhaust.
item 12- is listed as W/O trailer hitch back.

FYI - my 09 Acadia did come with the tow package and the hitch cover. I would recommend calling some salvage yards and maybe finding a totaled lambda that has a hitch cover still on it.

My '08 Outlook with factory towing came with a hitch cover as well.

That what I was thinking >, after all it would be a crime if someone else had one and was not using it or not even notice it was gone . Hey, I'd better lock mine up so it does'nt get "borrowed"

Saw an Outlook XR on the road today with a hitch cover. Not sure it'll be worth the $$, but it's at least worth checking on.

Our 2010 XR came with one, has the tow package. I was a little concerned that it could be eventually lost, due to the way it just 'snaps' on. We'll see. Hopefully no one that 'needs' one decides to 'snap' ours off!

Hey, another 2010 around here! :clap2: I noticed in an older thread you said you had a 2009, did you trade it in?

I've contacted a couple of online places and neither even responded, let alone said no. My local Saturn dealer (where I bought it) is still in business until the end of October, I'll have to drop in and ask them before they close.

I wonder if either of you would be willing to pull that off and see if there's a part number on the back. I'd like to see how expensive it would be to get one, but having a P/N would help.

Thanks! I entered '15933983' into gmpartsdirect.com and it said it was a license plate bracket/frame. Hmmm. I'll have to email them and see if that's the right P/N, but at east I have a # to ask about now. :thumb:

i found some hitch cover with designs on it? what do you think about these covers? is it okay to use this kinds of cover? well, from its description it has a universal fit.

Those are likely universal, square covers that only plug the receiver opening. They should work fine. The part I was talking about is specific to the Outlook, is flush witt the surrounding bumper and covers the entire hitch area, including the wiring connections.

I never have ordered mine, may not actually.
