I need to order an interior part that broke. Its the plastic thing that is on the side wall that has an elastic band on it. It's function is to lower the 2nd row seat belt for little kids so it doesn't rub their neck.

I've searched saturnparts.net and found several things that could be the correct part, but I'm not sure. I don't want to order the wrong thing.

While I'm here what is the difference between Titanium, Ebony and Cashmere? I want to make sure I order the correct color.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi & welcome.

I had a broken 3rd row belt tie-back clip shortly after we started using our vehicle. It took many weeks to receive the correct part. First go round was the wrong part ordered by the dealer. Second go round I went in and went through the parts diagrams with the parts counter attendant but the dealer was closing and wouldn't receive the part in time before they wound down their operation. Took the part number and had to go to another dealer - two weeks after that, I had the correct part.

There are two pieces involved. You're wise to check into the correct part before ordering. I'll dig out the part number I received when I get home tonight and will dig through my file. In the interim, take a look at the pictures attached (on good, one broken), both are from the 3rd row. Note that I have the Ebony interior. Is this part what you're referring to? The portion dangling at the free end of the bungee?

Ebony = black
Titanium = greyish black
Cashmere = I believe is like 'tan'.

That is exactly the part!!!! :thumb: Thank you for your help. I'll wait to get the part number from you. Those online part diagrams aren't very clear.
Well, I'd say you're welcome, but the next bit probably means I didn't get you much further than where you already are at! :(

I found the work order/invoice from the first go round (i.e. known to be the wrong part). It's from a former Saturn Canada dealer - thus may not mean much to your local dealer. Anyways - the (wrong) part number is 15115172.

I can't find the work order/invoice from the second go at this (which ultimately ended up being the right part). I keep all my records in a file, one for each of our vehicles, even one for vehicles we no longer have! Do you think I'd find the one work order that has the part number in question?!?! NOOOOooooooo. I guess that'd be just too easy now wouldn't it. :sosad:

I'll keep looking, but I have my doubts as it should be in my file. <sorry!>
