Looks like I have a leak - brake fluid I suspect based on its light brown colour and slippery feel.

Leaking at drivers side near the rear tire. Taking it into the dealer tomorrow...can't wait to see what they find. :-[

Fluid reservoir still within normal range.

Dealer says the left rear shock absorber is leaking. Outlook spending the night at the dealer waiting for part.

ohhh- let us know what the dealer charges you to replace...

these rear shocks are very easy to replace by yourself.


readily accesible with wheel off.

Perhaps next time...timing not so good today for a DIY job. Temp today is coldest day of winter so far:. -17 C / wind chill factor of -28 C

It was 86 degrees at my place yesterday. and supposed to be 82 today... in this part of Los Angeles.
