Fellow Outlookers,
The time has come where we have sadly traded in our very reliable 2008 Silver XE with 30,000 miles, but with exuburirant exictement too. I got a mailer from a local Chevy dealer that said they wanted my Outlook because it was in high demand. I took the mailer to a different Chevy dealer looking at a Red Jewel Traverse. They only wanted to give me 16,500 for trade in-I walked and went to the local GMC instead since I don't really like Chevy's.
The GMC delaership gave me the same trade in, so I decided this time to get the bells and whistles and have a car that pretty much looks like and feels like a Saturn Outlook. The problem was there were no Red Jewel Acadia's in Wichita, KS. I pretty much gave my salesperson the VIN of one in North Kansas City, and they made a transfer and I signed the paper work the same day.
This Acadia is awesome. I've never had a car this loaded. It has the dual sun roofs, rearview camera and ultrasound, trailering package, heated cloth seats, 2nd row captains chairs, power liftgate, rear spoiler, dual chrome exhaust tips and the bluetooth conectivity. It's pretty much a loaded SLE without the DVD system-which I could care less about since I got my kids personal DVD players when I traded my DVD equipped 2005 Saturn Relay for the Outlook. When I get my GAP refund back I plan to outfit the Acadia with a Garmin GPS with lifetime updates.
I had a guy one time tell me that my Outlook looked like a Bulgarian tank(LOL) , but that car was a great vehicle. We never had to take it in for warranty work, it climbed Pikes Peak a couple years ago and made a long road vacation last summer to the east coast.
