Recently my lift gate would sporadically not unlock when pressing the sensor pad inside the handle.
Now its so bad I have to fiddle with it / find a small spot to touch on the pad to get the lift gate to unlock.
I'd like to replace the switch. In my research to find the specific replacement part, I came across the following diagram:

It appears I can just pull the handle / switch mechanism out. Has anyone out there done this / can confirm how I can remove the switch?
