I have an 08 XR with the 18" factory rims and need new tires soon! I'm very disappinted with the stock Goodyears because I've only put on 36K miles and don't see myself going beyond 40K miles and I've had them balanced and rotated regularly.

Anyway, I was trying to see if anyone had the 19" factory rims for sale? I've seen them on eBay individually, but I'd rather buy them as a set of 4. With or without tires...

Wasn't expecting to pay $1000 for the Goodyears, so if anyone has any suggestions for alternate 19" or 20" rim/tire combo deals that might be an option worth looking into. I'm up for any suggestions at this point otherwise I'll just try my luck on the 18" Coopers I saw someone post about earlier. I live in Miami so it's either wet or dry - no mud or snow to deal with.

Thanks!

dont have tires to sell you....
but-
Have you tried looking at the Acadia and Enclave forum (link on the upper left).
I know Ive seen a few Sales on there of rims. Worth a try.

On a side note--- can you describe your driving style?
Are you aggresive when you accelerate? how high do your RPMs go in 1st and 2nd gear?
36K would appear to be very early.
Im an easy driver- Im nearing 18K on my Traverse- I was just looking at my tires when I was cleaning them---- and the tread looked nice and deep.
I know its half of your mileage... but since you also dont drive in snow country--- your tires arent skidding/slipping when you begin to accelerate...
which points to alot of agressive starts at green lights- and or hard stops.... your brake pads ok?

I plan on my tires going past 60-70,000.
I base this on my Trailblazers tires going to 77,000.

This past summer I got a set of 4 wheels, tires, sensors, center caps and lugnuts for $800 picked up on my way to vacation. They were off an Enclave that upgraded to chrome.

To get that price, I kept my eye open. I got them from ebay. I searched regulary for all the different lambdas.

I'll keep my eyes open for something like that. I really liked the way the 19" factory rims looked and I'm not all tht crazy for the multi-spoke rims (not sure which model I've seen them on). Thanks for the tip!

Truthfully, this is my wife's car and she drives like an old lady. Also, we have 2 small kids so we err on the side of safety/caution. When I drive, I don't drive aggressive. Brake pads are still the original ones and have plenty of life left (just had them inspected 4 weeks ago). Pretty much regular stop and go urban traffic.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed with the longevity of these tires. I was hoping for 50,000 miles at a minimum. Just had them rotated for last time and the rear tires are bad... I'm just happy the rainy season is starting to subside as the front tires can get me through the next 4-5 months. I'll post an update as to the ultimate mileage when I take these off which will hopefully be sometime near March/April (when rainy season starts up again).

Thanks for the tip

Very good deal, but I imagine shipping would tack on an extra $100-$200? I did come across a good deal on 18 tires though. PEP Boys is running a promo: buy 3, get 4th free (Definity, Hankook, Cooper) + $30 off $500. A set of 4 Hankook Ventus tires would run approx $500. I might jump on it, but I have a few more months to hold out and see if 19's or 20's pop up. I saw a pic of someone who recently installed the 6-spoke chrome 20's on their Acadia and they look sweet! However, I think chrome yells "put me up on cylinder blocks"... which is why I prefer the factory look over the aftermarket look - a little less flashy.

Anyone have any comments or experience with the Hankook Ventus tires?

go look at the Acadia forum- theres 4 threads there where the Hankook Ventus are mentioned-
they also mention the pep boys buy 3 get the 4th....

use the search box and type in Ventus
