Has anyone been able to burn MP3 files on a DVD and get the Nav system to recognize them?

It doesn't work on the radio, only CD-R or CD-RW! :'(
I made the test for you....
I don't have the NAV system!

I wished that worked, but it won't. I tried burning mp3's to a CD and the CD ended up getting stuck in the NAV unit. Even home made CDs seem to have trouble, according to my wife. Commercial CDs are no problem, but homegrown seems to trip it up. I was hoping a CD with a bunch of MP3s would be a poor mans way of not buying an iPod to keep in the car. Now I think it may be a good way. I bought the GM auxilary input cable and the iPod works great.

I have the 6 cd player and mp3 cd's work great 250+ songs on one cd. For my wife I put wma's on cd 550+ songs works great and sound is very good. We are NOT sound "aficionados", but they sound very good to us. Also, I believe I've heard others state they were able to do MP3's on DVD with the dvd player not the nav unit.(if they are different) ???
