How can find out why is it not starting up

mine occasionally doesnt start up, but when that happens i turn off all accessories (lights, speakers, etc) and then when i try it usually starts up fine

You should describe what is, and what is not happening, Does it crank and no spark or does it not crank at all.....

OP could you give us some more info? its a bit vague for us and we cant help if we dont know whats going on. any weird sounds? does something start up then die? any lights going off? things like that.
