Howdy All

We have our second child on the way, so we just traded in our 2003 VUE, and ordered a 2008 Outlook XR AWD, since they couldn't find an '07 with all the options we wanted. I was pleasantly surprised when the cost was only ONE dollar more than they 2007 was going to be ($36,469 vs $36,470) with the same options. Looks like they made XM standard, as it was not on the option list, so that saved $199 which I am sure made up for the other slight increases. Here is a list of the options we ordered and the cost of each:

XR AWD: $32,640 (Silver Pearl with Black Leather)
Convenience Pkg: $870
Premium Trim Pkg: $1,275
Enhanced Convenience Pkg: $690
Trailering Pkg: $425
Second Row Captain's Chairs: $495
Engine Block Heater: $75

We are most likely moving to Alaska next summer, hence the AWD, Trailering Pkg and Engine Block Heater. ;)

The dealer said it is usually a 8-10 week wait for delivery does that sound about right?

I got a friend to get me the GM Friends & Family Supplier discount, and I have the number, but how long is that number good for, as we had planned on buying today, but it now looks like the transaction will not be complete until mid September or so. Also, how much of a discount is it going to get me? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

When I bought my VUE, I used my GM Card earnings, but I was disappointed to hear that Saturn now no longer honors GM Card earnings...why?

Well, glad to be here, I have already learned a lot on this forum, thanks! :thumb:

Buster, Congratulations to you and your wife on the upcoming birth of both your second child, and, your second Saturn. As for the time on the Family & Friends number....it is 6 months from the date the number is drawn. So, you should have no problem as far as that goes. As to the amount of the discount, I can only go on what mine worked out to be, which was just under 4% of the MSRP. Just keep in mind that you cannot combine any conquest cash that may, or may not, be being offered at time of delivery. However, you can combine the Family & Friends pricing with any other incentive offers that may be offered at the time of delivery (of the Outlook, not, the baby. lol). Good luck with your growing family and new Outlook.

Thanks for the congrats and all the information. Glad to hear the number will still be good, and I hope some incentives will be out, but since it is a 2008, there might not be much, but at least I will still be able to use the $500 military discount. Now if they would only accept the GM Card earnings :banghead: Thanks again for all the information! :thumb:

Anybody heard of any other savings/offers that I might be able to apply. I read mention of a Luxury package discount from Cars.com, but can't seem to find out anything about it on the Saturn site? Thanks in advance for any advice.
