@Charlie B, I just wanted to follow up with the post about the oil in the throttle body of your Outlook last month. How are things going with this and how are you enjoying your Outlook?
Michelle, GM Customer Service
The oil in the intake galley is "normal", based on the sheer number of comments I've seen on all the Lambda forums - of course, from those owners that actually know how or have the skill level to remove the intake. :thumb:
I asked my dealer (Seaview Chevrolet in Lynnwood, WA) about the oil in the intake, and they said, as I expected, "It's normal".
Frankly, GM Powertrain Engineers should be embarrassed about the 3.6 liter's propensity to dump oil into the crankcase ventilation system. Especially with the '09MY+ with DI, this oil coats the intake, including the back of the intake valves, which doesn't help fuel economy. Trouble is, when is this blow-by considered "excessive"? Nobody in the know will fess up...
