You didn't post your model year but there is a GM extended warranty for the water pump. It is for 10 years or 120000 miles. Your leak could be the water pump. Temperature gauge could be acting strange if your water pump is going bad, or if your temperature sensor is going bad. The sensor is easy to replace IIRC.

Fix the CV boot soon. Running dry or without a cover will allow water and dirt to get into it, along with loosing all the grease. This will eventually result in the axle needing to be replaced.

A/C could be low on refrigerant due to a leak somewhere or a bad actuator.

Good luck and please come back with what they find. It might help other owners in the future.

Just a quick thought about the overheating temperature gauge. Have you checked the level of your coolant, including taking the radiator cap off and looking in the radiator itself? You have to remove the plastic engine cover first before you can see the radiator cap. The cover comes off by taking off the oil filler cap and then pulling the cover straight up.

The radiator overflow tank which can be seen has the proper full level mark WAY down near the bottom of the plastic tank. There is a line near the top which you follow down and will see an arrow at the other end of the line pointing to the FULL mark. You might need a flashlight to see it better. Some people think the proper fill level is near the top, but it isn't. If it is filled too much, the extra will leak out until a more normal level is reached.

a battery that is low-- about 9.5 volts I believe--- will cause certain items to go offline-- and show messages-- like Stabilitrack off- and service AWD for example.
