I ordered the factory crossbars and installed them because the aftermarket bars look to bulky and Subaru like for me. However, the mechanics and functionality of the factory bars are substandard. They rely on twist knobs to secure they're place on the rails and I had a cargo box slide backwards and almost off on the freeway. Both plastic chrome prices on the back came flying off and we pulled over to see that both crossbars slide back and almost came off because of the wind resistance. They should click into place like old Durango and Ford racks. They work well with ski racks though.
