The Power Lift gate on my '08 Outlook will not go all the way up. It only goes about 1/2 way up and then goes back down. It acts like it might be in a bind, if you assist it the rest of the way up it won't stay up. Let go and it slams back down. Started happening after the dash switch and the switch on the liftgate were pressed at the same time. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the support/lift struts. If they get weak, the liftgate will be too heavy for the lift motor and return to the closed position.
